CGAA-01-M. Oil painting “Coconuts & Chianti” by Californian master William Hubacek (1871‑1958).

 A large husked coconut occupies the background, while opened coconut halves are arranged in the foreground around an overturned Chianti bottle, recognizable by its straw wrapping. The canvas is signed at lower left and undated, but stylistic features and execution suggest it was painted between 1895 and 1905, when Hubacek was establishing himself as a realist still‑life painter. The work, unframed and in excellent condition, belongs to the production of an artist whose paintings have fetched more than US$ 8,000 at Bonhams, one reaching US$ 18,300 in 2010, indicating strong market interest in this Californian master. Canvas size: 10" × 22" (25,4 × 55,9 cm).​

CGAA-01-M. Peinture à l’huile « Noix de coco et Chianti », du maître californien William Hubacek (1871‑1958). 

Une grosse noix de coco débourrée occupe le fond de la composition, tandis que des moitiés de noix de coco ouvertes sont disposées au premier plan, autour d’une bouteille de Chianti renversée, caractéristique par son habillage de paille. La toile est signée en bas à gauche, non datée, mais tous les éléments stylistiques et la facture suggèrent une réalisation entre 1895 et 1905, au moment où Hubacek s’affirme comme peintre de natures mortes réalistes. L’œuvre, non encadrée et en excellent état de conservation, s’inscrit dans la production d’un artiste dont plusieurs tableaux ont été adjugés par Bonhams au‑delà de 8 000 US$, l’un atteignant 18 300 US$ en 2010, ce qui témoigne de l’intérêt du marché pour ce maître californien.
